Description
Released in 1986 on Sire Records, this self-titled debut album from the Philadelphia synth-pop quartet Book Of Love remains a defining pillar of mid-1980s electronic dance-pop music history. Produced by Ivan Ivan, the record elegantly blends whimsical, melodic keyboard hooks with infectious dance beats and Susan Ottaviano's distinctively deadpan vocal delivery. The album contains several iconic college radio and dance-floor staples, including the breakthrough single Boy, I Touch Roses, and the magnificent Modigliani Lost In Your Eyes, which pays homage to the famous Italian painter. This vintage pressing comes complete with its original lyric insert sheet. The cardboard sleeve is well-preserved in very good plus condition, while the vinyl record retains a beautiful luster and grades excellent for superb audio presentation, making it an essential addition for fans of classic new wave and synth-pop history.
