Booker T & The MG’S Christmas Spirit LP MONO Stax DJ Copy Promo soul funk james brown
Up for auction I have a smokin’ hot yule time treat! Booker T. & The MG’S in the Christmas Spirit LP. Original blue center label in MONO on Stax 713, U.S. pressing. Vinyl and cover are graded VG+ to VG++.
I purchased this used back in the late 80’s and it’s been in my collection ever since. Has “DJ Copy For Promotional Use Only” stamped on one side of the center label.

Side A, has a few to some light scuffs and light small scratches and is VG+. Side B, is much nicer and graded VG++. Plays loud, clear, crisp and mostly clean. A very light surface noise is noted at the start of Side A. But nothing major or detrimental to playback.
Center label is clean and bright. Light spindle marks noted on side A. Sharp cornered and new looking center hole.
Cover is bright, clean and overall very nice. A sticker (promo?) has been removed from center front cover and some resulting residue. There are two or three light scuffs on cover. Spine and seams are bright, tight, clean, clear and look close to new. Cover grades VG++.
One of the better soul, sax, instrumental Christmas LP’s of all time! Reportedly these were released as a PROMO item and were unavailable commercially.
