Description
Original 1999 Warlock Records promotional 12 inch of Slow Down 2000 No Doubt by Boot Camp Clik, catalog number WR SKRIB04 1DJ. Clearly marked For Promotional Use Only, Not For Sale on both labels. Pressed at 33 1/3 RPM and issued in a plain white Warlock DJ sleeve for record pool and radio servicing only.
This is taken from DJ Skribble’s Traffic Jams 2000 and features Buckshot, Starang Wondah and Steele, produced by Mr. Walt for Da Beatminerz. That alone places it squarely inside the late 90s Duck Down and Boot Camp Clik resurgence era, when underground New York hip hop was reasserting itself against the commercial gloss of the time. Warlock handled a surprising amount of East Coast street product in this window, and their DJ only pressings were often short run and heavily worked by mix show DJs.
Side A carries the Album Version and Radio Version. Side B includes the TV Track, Instrumental and Acappella, a proper DJ layout built for blends and live sets. The instrumental and acappella cuts are where these promos really earn their keep for collectors and producers.
Condition is what separates this copy. This record came directly from the office archive and was never put into rotation. Vinyl retains deep original gloss with only faint storage handling visible under strong light. Labels are clean with light age spotting typical of white promo labels from this era. Sleeve shows normal storage wear from being housed flat in the office. No DJ writing, no cue burn, no spindle abuse.
Unplayed office copies of Warlock DJ promos do not surface often, especially Boot Camp Clik material from this period. For serious Duck Down, Beatminerz or late 90s New York hip hop collectors, this is a clean archive example.
