This handsome LP from Decca (SXL 6572, English pressing, black/silver NB label, stereo, laminated jacket) features Willi Boskovsky leading the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra in a New Year’s Concert program, warmly recorded at the Sofiensaal, Vienna, in April 1972.

This album was produced by John Mordler and engineered by Gordon Parry and Phillip Wade. There are informative liner notes (uncredited) on the reverse side of the jacket, printed in English only. The striking cover / photo design is similarly uncredited.

CONDITION:

The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.

The condition of the jacket is EXCELLENT. There is a blue circular sticker to the front panel, very minor wear at corners, and some ringwear/discoloration to the rear panel. However, there are no seamsplits, bends, owners’ markings, or other defects and the album remains solid, bright, glossy, and highly attractive – overall, an excellent collector's copy.

The condition of the LP is near-MINT and playback is superb – overall, a truly fine collector's copy.

This LP has been carefully cleaned using a VPI cleaning machine. All LPs are provided with a new Nagaoka (or Nagaoka-style) inner sleeve.
