Brahms Piano Trios 1 & 3 Katchen Starker UK Decca SXL 6387
Julius Katchen, Josef Suk and Janos Starker perform the Brahms “Piano Trios No’s 1 and 3”. An English stereo pressing on the Decca Label (SXL 6387 stampers 1W/1W), the labels are black and silver with a full frequency stereo sound “fatband” and logo and Made in England by… at 10 o’clock. The record is of immaculate appearance and plays and sounds superb with a minimum of surface noise. The cover is excellent.
