Description

Everything about this item is mint.  The record plays like the album was just opened and the album itself is like new with crisp corners and is still in the shrink wrap.  I've been listening to classical music for some 55 years now and I found myself applauding at the end of both the 2nd Symphony and the Haydn Variations (and I was on a treadmill at the time).  Here are two of Brahms' greatest works performed by one of the world's greatest orchestras being conducted by one of history's greatest conductors.
I listened to it while going on my treadmill at 3mph (hey....I'm 70).  I used earbuds so I could hear any defects and there were absolutely none.  Should you have any concerns about the accuracy/honesty of my rating this set "Mint", then please see my feedback for "Walt Disney's Haunted Mansion" (both mono & stereo), "Glenn Miller Limited Edition",  "The Greatest 64 Motown Original Hits", "Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room", "The Exorcist", "Bell, Book & Candle", "Star Wars--The Empire Strike Back", "Indiana Jones & the Temple of Doom", and "John Carpenter's The Thing".  All these were used records and my buyers were quite pleased with my rating/description of issues.
NOTE:  On 8/1 I re-listened to the album using different (and apparently more sensitive earphones) and found that at the very beginning of the symphony from the 30 second mark to the 45 second mark there are some 13 very minor tics that are barely there but are noticeable.  The rest of side 1 and all of side 2 sound like the record was never opened.  I have changed the rating from Mint to Very Good + to Near Mint and have lowered the price.
