Original 1967 lp on Columbia (SAX 5279)
Brahms Symphony No.1. George Szell with The Cleveland Orchestra.
Edition 1 , small red/black semi-circle.
The vinyl would be in superb condition but has one small 1/3 inch feelable surface mark to A Side. I've test played the record and this mark causes a slight click for around 12-14 rotations. Nothing major or too intrusive, nothing that over rides the music in any way, however, it's worth noting that i'm currently running a Technics 1200 deck and the vinyl may sound different with a more sensitive pick up. Otherwise, the vinyl is very clean with slight paper scuffing only. The labels show very minor spindle markings only. Jacket is very clean and complete, slight discolouration to unlaminated rear, 'D1' stamped at top right rear, barely noticable. (vg/ex)

Having spent several years buying and selling records on a full time basis i feel i have a good understanding of the grading process. I study all records visually under a direct strong light and test play to assess sound quality. I am strict on condition, i rarely if ever grade a record higher than 'ex+' even if i know it's unused, i don't feel a 'mint/mint-' grade can be truly accurate when applied to vinyl.
