This is the Full Digital Recording, Processing, and Production issue of 1987. Even Better, this Exemplar (DGG Serial No. R 125120) is Still Factory Sealed. Keeping the mighty, awesome Berlin Philharmonic under taut, exacting, and exciting control, Karajan here turned out what many critics regard as his best ever account of the Brahms Second Symphony. And All of this rendered perfectly via the sharp, clear, and enveloping ambiance of DGG Digital Stereo recording and processing technologies. Since this disk is unopened, this exemplar is presumed to be the original 1987 DGG German Stereo production with presumed earliest pressings of same. . Heavy-Gauge German Vinyl of the era as well.
