Brahms Violin Concerto Kogan UK Columbia SAX 2323 Magic Notes

 

One of the most collectible of all Desert Island Discs. A sublime performance and a superb recording makes this early UK Columbia record much sought after.

 

Leonid Kogan with the Philharmonial Orchestra conducted by Kyril Kondrashin performs the Brahms Violin Concerto”. An English stereo pressing on the Columbia Label (SAX 2323), the labels are blue/green with silver radio waves and border and a magic note logo. The record has some light surface scuffs (under a strong light) and is of excellent appearance and plays and sounds superb (superb recording and playing) with minor low-level surface noise. The cover has some markings in pen on the back and is in overall excellent condition.
