Brahms Violin Oistrakh UK Columbia SAX 2411

Original Blue Green and Silver Label

 

David Oistrakh with the French National Orchestra conducted by Otto Klemperer performs the Brahms “Violin Concerto”. An English stereo pressing on the Columbia Label (SAX 2411), the labels are blue/green with silver border and radio waves, and a black Columbia and stereophonic flash. The record has some light surface scuffs and a scratch at the end of the first track on side two clicks for 7 or 8 revolutions. Otherwise it is of very good appearance and plays and sounds superb with occasional surface noise. The cover laminate has rubbed and the back is a little grubby.
