Braineater (Jim Cummins) - difficult to find classic West Coast punk

Braineater - A rare and very difficult to find (complete) Punk Rock issue from 1980. The disc is "Planet X" a 10" flexi by the Braineaters. It is double sided and features 7 tracks. It was released in Vancouver, BC. Only 250 copies were made and only the first few of that number came this way. For the later records a sleeve was included, but no "splatter paint" backing. This item was sold briefly in a few alternative record shops and by the band members themselves in underground clubs - making it rare. In 2009 a copy without the "splatter paint" backing sold at auction for 210 US$. 

The record package was put together by the band themselves. The large backing is approximately 24" X 18" and is hand produced with a splattered paint design completed by Jim Cummins himself. The package comes with 3 large screen printed insert posters approximately 12" X 18" also by Cummins. Today Cummins is an visual/performance artist in his own right and plays prominently in the documentary movie about punk titled, Bloodied But Unbowed. Also, included is a pink 12 X 18 "Notice - Stop Help Save the youth of Canada" poster. The flexi is in a clear plastic bag. The entire package as originally designed was stapled together. It is definitely not slick, but rather cool, and represents well the early punk era.  

The package is in excellent condition.                                                                                                                                                            The flexi is un-played with no creases.                                                                                                                                                       The Splatter paint backing is excellent - one small crease in the lower corner and some fading around the edges.                                   The three posters are crease free with small areas of fading/yellowing.                                                                                                    The entire package has been stored flat since 1980.                                                                                                                                    All posters have two small staple holes as this is how it was originally packaged together. 

For shipping I will ship the poster (paper) portion in a tube. I will ship the 10 inch flexi separately in a flat container. This means I will remove the record from the plastic bag. If you have a better shipping idea please contact me.
