Description
This auction is for a very rare vinyl copy of the extremely influential 2001 album by "Brand New- Your Favorite Weapon". This version is on black vinyl which was limited to 400 total copies and comes with the unreleased b-side from these studio sessions entitled ".....My nine ride shotgun". The artwork on the cover is alternate to the cd version and is the only place this artwork was ever used. The record also comes with an insert which is personally my favorite part of this package. It as actual scanned pictures of the band members drivers licenses with their home addresses from the time. This is a truly awesome piece of brand new memorabilia and they rarely sell for under $100 due to the rarity. I am also going to include two rare cd singles from later in the bands career. Each cd single has an unreleased track on them as well. One is a b-side from ...devil and god sessions" and one is a live version of "jesus"which features kevin devine and is in my opinion better than the original. The condition of the record itself is very good, only been played 3 times and the jacket is in very good shape over than a slight bend on left corner but its not very noticeable. If bidding goes over $100 I will also include some rare stickers from both the deja entendu and your favorite weapon era's of the band. I took some pics of those along with them next to a cd in order to show the size. Everything in this auction is original from the time period. If bidding goes over $150 I will include a copy of the very rare 4 song demo(Recorded in 1999/2000) which includes noticeably different rough demo versions of songs found on your favorite weapon. These were only released to labels at the time as the band was trying to get signed. If interested please email me regarding track listing . I will also include a copy of the "leaked" 2006 demos. The 2006 demos were 9 demos stolen from the bands practice space and leaked online. This was taken from wikipedia regarding the subject. In January 2006, nine untitled demos recorded for the album were leaked to the Internet. In response to the leak, Garrett Tierney stated "I would say it did it in a good way 'cause so many people were curious to hear what we have been doing--and for the most part, the record tracks don't sound anything like the leaked demos." However, Lacey was not so upbeat when asked, saying, "For me it was different. It had me pretty down for a while. No one likes to show their creation in mid-process, and those songs weren't done. They were like blueprints. Just the plan, right? It put me in a state where I was under the impression that those songs had been wasted or something—that we had to go and write new things because those had been heard. Now, in retrospect, I want those songs to be on the album and many of them aren't, and I'm probably more to blame for that than anyone. This record already feels incomplete to me without those tracks and probably will forever."
