Description
Here for sale is a one-owner first edition copy of Brian Eno’s 1977 album complete with the four original Peter Schmidt prints in their card portfolio. The item was given as a Christmas gift to singer/author Julian Cope, by his brother – there is a very small written inscription at the top corner of the original inner sleeve. Cope then placed the record in a thick clear polythene outer sleeve, ensuring that it has remained extremely clean and almost like new these past decades. But do please study the photos carefully as there are slight imperfections to be noted.
All of the Peter Schmidt prints are perfect save for the ‘staircase’ print, which exhibits two tiny blemishes up in the left hand corner, and a small crease about 3mm across the right bottom corner. Everywhere else is clean – spines like new, and the acres of white card evince no flaw at all.
The two sides of the LP have just been played through and the cut sounds loud and crisp, save for some slight clicks and surface noise between certain tracks. All songs are clean except where noted below:
