********************************* An absolute stunning and closest to (if not) MINT copy of Bridget St John’s 2nd album released on John Peel’s independent Dandelion label.
British singer and songwriter Bridget St John is best known for the three albums she recorded between 1969 and 1972 on John Peel's Dandelion label though her regular touring on the UK college and festival circuit no doubt helped her chime in fifth as the most popular female singer in 1974’s Melody Maker readers poll. An interesting observation is that she credits John Martyn as her guitar mentor which explains to a large degree why her dexterity here comes so natural to her.
Within 5 years she had emigrated to Greenwich Village and virtually disappeared from the public eye for over 20 years before appearing at a Nick Drake tribute concert in New York in 1999, performing "Northern Sky" and "One of These Things First".
Described by John Peel as "the best lady singer-songwriter in the country" one wonders what might have been …

Vinyl : STUNNING and absolute Mint in my book… appears never ever played however we’ll play safe and go with MINT MINUS.
Labels : Clean.
Sleeve : the textured gatefold is clean. No ring-wear, writing, no creasing, no splits and the flat-edge spine is excellent. A little edge-wear however no real concern and overall this really is a terrific jacket that is bound to please.
