Bridget St John - Songs For A Gentle Man LP gatefold 1971 Dandelion UK 1st Press

MEGA RARE CLASSIC FOLK FROM THE INCREDIBLE BRIDGET ST. JOHN!!!

ORIGINAL UK 1ST PRESSING ON JOHN PEEL'S DANDELION RECORD LABEL!!

PRESSING DETAILS: DAN 8007 Made in England UK 1st Press (A1 &  B1)

SLEEVE: (VG-) Original UK 1st press gatefold sleeve is fully textured with a leather type effect. It has light wear and mild edge rubbing from use and storage. The inside has a small black stain at the top edge on the left (see pictures). Spine has scuffing that makes some of the text unreadable.

INNER SLEEVE: (VG) Original paper inner has no splits. Mild wear and creasing from storage with discolouration from age.

RECORD LABELS: side 1 (EX) side 2 (EX-) Clean labels with no writing and no stickers. A few spindle marks to both sides when angled under bright light - more on side 2.

VINYL CONDITION VISUALLY: (VG) Vinyl is flat and glossy with some light hairlines and paper scuffs. No deep scratches. This has been carefully played over the years but stored for a long time and there is some dust in places.

OVERALL PLAYING GRADE: (VG+) Both sides play really well with background crackle in places and the odd tick. This record may benefit from a professional clean. The music sound quality is amazing - far superior to any CD remaster or re-press with real warmth and detail. A lovely looking and playing record very hard to find in any condition! Don't miss this!

Strict grading using Record Collector grading system.  All records are play tested on a Technics SL-1210 MK2 record player with a Shure White Label Cartridge and Stylus. All records are sent in correct record mailers or cruciform box with at least 4 cardboard stiffeners and the vinyl removed for the the original inner and put in a new polylined inner sleeve outside of the cover to make sure no splits happen during delivery. All vinyl is sent tracked and signed for.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING

All records are graded using the Record Collector Grading System with (+) or (-) to show a slightly higher or lower grade.

M (Mint) : The Record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

EX (Excellent): The Record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VG (Very Good) : The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

G (Good) : The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

F (Fair) : The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
