Description

Bright Eyes Guitar Up for Auction to Benefit Double Lung Transplant

This guitar was smashed on stage by Bright Eyes' Conor Oberst during his US tour supporting the album I’m Wide Awake, It’s Morning. When Conor returned from tour he signed it with the hopes of raising money for Jason’s transplant. The blue guitar body has been signed with a heart and “!!!” in black permanent ink. Note: The head stock was discarded at the show and is not included in this auction.


Meet Jason Woods: An Omaha Man In Need of Life-Saving Transplant

Jason Woods is the focus of a fundraising campaign, sponsored by the Children’s Organ Transplant Organization (COTA), to assist with his medical expenses. Doctors at the University of Colorado in Denver recommended a life-saving double lung transplant. An estimated $100,000 is being raised by Omaha volunteers to assist Jason with his transplant related expenses. This auction, presented by Saddle Creek Records, will aid in this campaign. All proceeds from this auction will go directly to the Children’s Organ Transplant Organization (COTA). For more information on Jason’s campaign and COTA, go to www.cota.org .
