Up for auction is an UNOPENED copy of the BRIGHT EYES VINYL BOX SET released in 2003 by Saddle Creek Records (LBJ-53). If you're a fan of Conor and friends, then you know that this was an amazing release... to have the first five albums by Bright Eyes on vinyl and with bonus tracks. This sold out pretty quickly at Saddle Creek, and has been a gem in any collection since then (and, yes, it is out of print). I have seen a handful of listings for this set on ebay and they always seem to attract quite a few bids, even when the records have been used and the poster is missing. All that to say that this is a truly special opportunity to bid on the rarest of RARE: a still FACTORY SEALED copy of this vinyl box set... the records will be perfect, the poster will be there, etc. I bought this back in 2003 from the Saddle Creek website with the intention of waiting for a special moment to open it.... well, I have decided that I am willing to pass that moment on to someone else. I promise that whoever eventually gets to open this will be thrilled. And, take note that there is no reserve on this auction; so I hope you can sense that this is a pretty good deal in the making. The 5 albums on 7LPs included here are the following (you can see the track listings on one of the pictures I have posted): A Collection of Songs Written and Recorded 1995-1997 (2xLP) (this was the first and only time that this album has been available on vinyl) Letting Off the Happiness Every Day and Every Night Fevers and Mirrors (2xLP) Don't Be Frightened of Turning the Page The only flaw is that the lower left corner on the box itself was a little damaged during shipping (from Saddle Creek).
