FIRSTLY NOTE THAT SHIPPING IS NOT FREE NOR AS EBAY STATE - IT'S A HEAVY BOOK & IS EXPENSIVE TO POST. I am selling this RARE book with it's supplement & also another pair of books by Brian Rust "The American Dance Band Discography 1917-1942" - see Sellers Other Items.
This auction is for "British Dance Bands On Record 1911 to 1945" by Brian Rust & Sandy Forbes & published by General Gramophone Publications Ltd in 1987. Also included in this auction is the official Supplement which the same authors & publishers released in 1989. It is a RARE book - the cheapest one I've seen recently is over £200....
Although used, the book can only be described as "near mint" - no creases, tears, splits, pen or pencil marks - just perfect - with minimal signs of useage on the blue cloth hardback covers. The gold lettering is pristine. It's about 8 inches x 6 inches x 1390 pages. Stuck inside the rear blank back page is a small typed note apparently from a Jimmy Brown regarding this book - I guess the note could easily be removed. The softback supplement is also in fine condition with a small outside repair to the spine at the bottom (that's how I purchased it many many years ago)
