- Notes: The output and profile of BRUCE SOORD, founding member and primary songwriter of his prolific band THE PINEAPPLE THIEF, have grown significantly over the past decade. In addition to his musical compositions, his exceptional production skills and coveted surround mixing have seen the English artist committed to work for artists such as TesseracT, Opeth and Jethro Tull. Inspired by the idea of finding inner peace, Soord's third and new solo work "Luminescence" explores the difficulty of living in the metropolis of the modern world. Born from days of exploring various cities during tours, the album's songs contain recordings of Soord's various wanderings, captured with his battle recorder. Recorded between January and June 2023, the album was recorded at Soord Studios with additional strings recorded at RAK Studio 3 in London, with contributions from Andrew Skeet, long-time member of The Divine Comedy and music producer of the orchestration of many films and television series, such as "Black Mirror", "Green Planet" and David Attenborough's "Dynasties II". On "Luminescence" Andrew arranged and conducted a six-piece string section. The result will please fans of The Pineapple Thief, Steven Wilson, Porcupine Tree, Radiohead, King Crimson and Riverside.
