Description

1980 first pressing white label promo of Bruce Springsteen's  "The River" Complete with the rarely seen letter from CBS president Bruce G. Lundvell that was included in some of the copies sent to radio stations.. It also comes with both custom inner sleeves and fold open lyric insert. The sleeve has a gold ink promo stamp on rear along with light shelf-wear and some minor rubbing on edges and corners. The paper contents are all in fine condition. The white label records are in extremely nice shape scratch free and retaining much of their original luster with only the slightest bit of  paper scuffing that does not affect playback.  The letter perfectly captures the concerns record industry of the time and their worries about home taping. if you should have any questions regarding this item, please do not hesitate to contact me.
