Bruce Springsteen & the E street band Live 1975-85 5 LP boxset. Condition is excellent. you know this or you do not. when it came out we were pretty gassed. comparisons to bob dylan for the poetry -- both blue collar poets like dylan thomas. how many people have made "great art" without being part of the upper class? Bruckner is the only classical composer. "Nebraska" still his "best" studio album for lyrics as such -- legendary -- recorded in motels while driving across usa in that state. some of that LP represented here (none of this was released on CD, come on.) "The Bruce." how long since you have heard that phrase? And in modern lyrics -- so many are ironic put downs of something -- jokes in some way -- or the usual love sex interest stuff -- i want you, you want me, i lost you, all the way back to the Schubert lieder of 1810 when the sonata form song was invented. in other words we have adolescent (insult) lyrics or the traditional ones without even changing them except for modern idiom. Was Bruce and his period (Joni etc) the end of what could be called poetry in popular music? Johnny 99 -- third person narrative songs about ordinary lives that went wrong.

nice black background, seems unplayed. I have been selling a few of these have some more. Cannot tell any diff between the Columbia and CBS pressings. Normally there is a difference when there are two labels -- not sure what is up with the non-difference difference here. for example MCA reissues of classic earlier rock tend to sound different -- not necessarily worse. RCA thin "modern" vinyl reissues tended to seem disappointing as compared to their own original normal vinyl issues of things like the jefferson airplane etc. was hard to explain why though. guaranteed. comes with its own original poly inner sleeves. unable to find a poly outer sleeve big enough for this one. shipped with USPS Media Mail.
