Description
This is a promotional one-sided LP was released to radio stations at the same times as the Ram album (1971). Only 1,000 copies pressed. It has 15 radio spots used to introduce songs on the RAM album.
This is an authentic original copy. I am including a letter certifying it is authentic and describing how I obtained this record (see below). There are stop grooves between each track, identifying this as an authentic original copy.
I did not keep the letters that came with this LP. The original letters that came with the LP ARE NOT included with this LP.
I've graded it as excellent. I see some very fine marks on it. This record was stored vertically with my 78 RPM records, and was just found. So it has been untouched for at least 30 years.
Why I know this is a legit, authentic copy: In 1971 I worked in radio (WREB) and owned a small record store. The Capitol promo man would come by the store and traded promo records for LPs he wanted to have. He traded a box of 25 copies of the BRUNG TO EWE BY record for a couple of LPs. He felt Brung To Ewe By was worthless, and I put little value on it. I used most of them for give-aways, targets, and Frisbees (records don't work well as Frisbees). I saw no reason to keep all the papers that came with them. However, I love novelty records, and on that basis I kept a few, and never played them. Last year I sold on EBay what I thought was the only remaining copy I had. Just last week I found this additional copy mixed in with my Dr. Demento radio show LPs. I know it is legit because, not only does it have all the characteristics of an authentic copy, but I obtained it direct from the Capitol promo man when this LP was first issued, long before anyone was making bootlegs of it.
I will provide a signed letter with this LP, telling the story of how I obtained it, and certifying this is a legit, authentic copy.
Note: I need to move to a smaller house and am selling the records from my personal collection. I am not a dealer. I do my best to accurately and conservatively grade the records in all my sales. I recognize the need to be accurate so you will continue to buy records from me. However, if you have a problem with your order, please contact me. I aim to treat everyone as I'd like to be treated.
Also, if you have questions or need more information, please ask. I'm happy to help any way I can.
Watch for new sales of 45 RPM records on Saturday mornings starting at 8:00 AM Pacific time about twice a month.
