Description

This is a rare private Rock & Religion Show LP released in 1980.  The LP features music and interview with British musician Bryn Haworth.

This is Rock & Religion Program 109/110.  Bryn Haworth is interviewed by Steve Turner in London.  Album is approx. 1 hour of interview and music!   Bryn talks about his life, taking dope, searching for God, etc.

This LP is used.  The LP looks great and played pretty quiet.  I only heard a few pops.  Cover is in VG+ condition.

To quote from the Encyclopedia of Contemporary Christian Music by Mark Allan Powell: " Bryn Haworth is a musician's musician, recognized within the guild as one of the finest slide ( or "bottleneck") guitarists in the world...  he moved briefly to California and played with the Jackie Lomax Band and with Wolfgang, opening for such acts as Led Zeppelin, Jefferson Airplane, and the Moody Blues...   all of his albums from Sunny Side of the Street on have been reflective of his faith..."

Does anyone know what Bryn Haworth is doing nowadays?

Can you help?   I'm looking for underground Christian bands that played progressive-rock from 1975 to 1985.  If you were a musician in a "Christian" progressive-rock band during that time, or if you can recall any such band, drop me an email at tinmancafe@aol.com

I like progressive, blues-rock, Celtic and some psychedelic music.  Similar to the styles of Arkangel ( with Kemper Crabb ), Jimmy Hotz (classic "Beyond The Crystal Sea" LP), Oden Fong ( classic "Come For The Children" LP ),  Eden ( a 70's Christian progressive rock band from Germany ), Semaja ( a 70's Christian progressive rock band from Germany who released a classic LP "Hear My Cry" ), the Exkursions ( with Mike Johnson ), Jeff Johnson, Iona, The Knights of the Lord's Table, Water Into Wine Band ( legendary Christian band from UK ), Proto-Kaw ( with Kerry Livgren ! ) etc.

If you know of any Christian bands that played progressive rock, blues-rock, psychedelic rock or Celtic folk rock, please drop me an email at tinmancafe@aol.com.   Thanks !
