Description
This listing is for a Mono One Sided 45 RPM Demo 10" Acetate version of the song "Hard Way To Go" by "The Buchaneers". It was recorded in either the late 1960's or the early 1970's, but there is not date on the record. The Record was recorded by Sterling Sound Inc. in New York. No, this is not the Texas band "The Buccaneers" who was featured on the compilation Pebbles. This is a Toledo based Psychedelic Rock / Pop band, there is very little information on them other than they were around Toledo in the late 60s/ early 70s. I listened to the song, and, to me they have a similar sound to that of the band "The Zombies", It was a good song, with a little jam section, but it was a short song.
Condition: The record has scratches, but plays fine. None of the scratches affected the play at all for me. There were two spots of the song that got fuzzy for a second or two, but overall it sounded very good. There are several scratches on the record though, but most are not in the playing area. The 4 scratches that are in the playing are light and do not affect play. The label has A written on it next to the title, probably indicating that this was going to be the A side. The label has some wear on the edges and a mark over the S in Buchaneers. The back a fair amount of wear and scratches on it, but there is no song on the back side. There are a few small spots where the lacquer has worn off and the metal is showing through. These spots are one spot on the upper back, and two spots on the sides. The one spot on the upper back and one spot on the side are pretty small, the other spot on the side is about an inch and a half long, but none of this comes anywhere near the playing area.
