Description

Bud Powell     Jazz Giant   Norgran 1063 yellow trumpeter label with deep groove

 

Bud Powell (p), Ray Brown, Curly Russell (b), Max Roach (d),     Recorded 1949 1950

 

Yellow "trumpeter" and deep groove both sides. No address on back cover.  

 Record looks M- and plays strong VG++ due to the light surface noise typical of Norgran pressings.  A beautiful copy. No scuffs. No scratches. Grooves  look super glossy and bright and undamaged.   Hard to believe you will find a cleaner copy.  

Cover is VG++.

 The David Stone Martin front cover is glossy with light wear. There's two tiny areas where the slick is missing near the pocket.  Back cover has light wear with some fading and a discoloration where some tape was removed at the pocket.  Top seam has tight seam split 1 inch at the pocket. Spine and bottom seam are intact and not split.  Bottom seam has overall light wear but a tiny spot of heavy wear at the pocket. Print on spine is bright and readable.

 My highest grade is M- and I rarely grade 50s or 60s records M-. Records are graded visually using the Goldmine system. M-, VG++, VG+, VG, VG- etc. I play grade any potential problem areas.  I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws. You will be satisfied.  No hassles.
