Description
Both sides have 767 Lexington Ave. N.Y.C. address; same address at the bottom of the back cover. Deep groove. 12 tracks. Powell, piano on all tracks. 7 tracks from 1951 also include Curly Russell, bass; Max Roach, drums. 1 track from 1949 also includes Tommy Potter, bass; Roy Haynes, drums. 4 tracks from 1949 also include Fats Navarro, trumpet; Sonny Rollins, tenor sax; Potter, bass; Haynes, drums. The music includes 2 alternate takes of "Un Poco Loco" and an alternate take of "A Night In Tunisia".
Cover: VG+ Intact and clean. Light wear on the insert edge with slight paper loss. Very light aging on the back cover. Excellent condition.
Record: VG++ to Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. A small number of light surface rub marks. This is a heavy vinyl pressing with a flat edge. Minor groove noise on 1 or 2 revolutions on Track 4, Side 1 with a small number of light clicks that are barely audible. Most tracks play with no noise and the noise described is very light. Also, 2 or 3 revolutions on Track 6 have slight groove noise, again, only barely audible. Faint groove noise on 4 or 5 revolutions on the entire Side 2. Also, very light. In summary, fine conditon with most of the record having only the slight noise detailed. Fine, collectable quality. Audibly checked.
