Description
La Danse Des Infideles Bud Powell--Francis Paudras--published by L'Instant, Paris 1986
This is a 410 page hardbound book app 13x 10 1/2 inches. It was written by the late Francis Paudras, a friend of Bud Powell. It includes many hundreds of black and white photos of Bud, most taken by Paudras as well as photos other musicians. The book is a deluxe, quality production, printed on high quality paper and the photos are nicely reproduced. The text, written by Paudras, is the story of Bud's life and music and the story of Paudras's relationship with Bud. THE TEXT IS ENTIRELY IN FRENCH.
The book is in M- shape. The embossed cover is unworn, the binding is tight and there are no dog eared pages. The pages are bright, glossy and unfaded and unyellowed. There is no writing or torn pages. The book looks unread. The dust jacket is included. It is still bright and glossy but has some wear at the corners and 2 small tears at the bottom of the back cover.
I grade visually using the Goldmine grading code which is M, M-, VG++ (or EX), VG+, VG, G, F, P. The highest grade I use is M-. I spot play any potential problem areas and try to grade conservatively. You will be satisfied and no hassles
The book weighs in excess of 5 lbs and it will probably cost more than the standard $4 media rate to ship, based on location.. WINNING BIDDER SHOULD WAIT FOR AN INVOICE WITH CORRECT SHIPPINGF COST.
