Description
This is by far Buddy Holly’s Rarest UK release.
The 78 version of Blue Days Black Nights / Love me on Brunswick. Released in 1956, a year before his breakthrough smash That’ll be the day.
This record did not sell and was not repressed after he achieved fame. There is only 1 other copy that came up for sale in the last 5 years !
The 7” has been seen a few times but still extremely rare but the 78 is impossible to find. Due to the fragility of shellac over 66 years and lack of sales !
This record has been played and does contain the usual 78 background crackles but plays right through on both sides. The record does look well played.
I have YouTubed both sides being played through on a 1961 valve record player. As it should sound !!
Please note at the beginning of blue days I do alter the tone a little during play.
