Buddy Holly - Blue Days - Black Nights/ Love Me

(Brunswick 45-Q05581 UK 7" 1956)

This is a UK original 7" pressing. It has black & silver "Brunswick" labels which have a Tri-Centre. The record has 1st press -1C/ -1C matrix stampers. It comes with its original company Brunswick paper sleeve. This is the incredibly rare UK pressing of this single. It sold very poorly on its release. Don't miss out!



Vinyl: Sadly this is a very well played copy. There are considerable sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. There are two careless long hairline scratch marks on the A-side. These go across the vinyl & the A-side label too. They measure 7 cm and 8 cm in length. These are light to the touch and do not affect the playback. There is one other 3 cm scratch mark on the A-side label too. There are a couple of light hairline marks that go around the groove on the A-side. There are a very few other small & light hairline marks. There is also a minor edge warp. It only really notices when playing the B-side. It does not affect playback at all. Fair+ condition. As stated, there are three scratch marks on the A-side label. Otherwise, the labels show mild spindle wear. The B-side label is relatively nice & clean. The company paper sleeve is in VG condition. There is some light to mild ringwear & creasing. There are no seam splits.


I have fully play tested this 7" single. Considering the overall condition, this single plays remarkably well. It plays VG overall! There is some light, mild or very mild crackle noticeable in the quieter places. The music still blasts through! There are no loud clicks or pops. It does not jump or stick. As stated, this is a very reasonable playing copy considering the condition.
