Description

Original (US) press of Buddy Holly's first LP (CRL57210). Vinyl: VG to VG+ (some use and some nicks). Cover VG++ (minor wear), labels VG (sticker labels).

Here it has a signature on it that we have not authenticated. We leave it up to the purchaser to do this or an evaluation can be done online by examining the close up of the signature. I believe it may be authentic - but again we are not going to get into the authentication controversy that is currently going on with autographs in general (ebay has a list of valid and invalid authenticators, special policy, etc.). The initial bidding price is based on the estimated value of the record itself, without the autograph. The autograph, if valid, would represent a substantial increase in value and could therefore be a real "find" for someone. Note the label A and B sides have an original owner's address sticker on it (which could be carefully removed possibly) and the vinyl itself, though not heavily used, has seen some wear and has a few nicks and scratches but plays well with good sound on high quality (50s?) wax. Note shipping insurance is built into the handling since ebay yanked the rug out on its customers on this option. International buyers will have to use a tracked and insured service so email me after the auction for this ...
