Buddy Holly And The Crickets – The Buddy Holly Story 
UK 1959 MONO Signed by The Crickets Joe Mauldin, Jerry Allison, Sunny Curtis and  Buddy Holly's widow Maria Elena Holly FROM A PET & SMOKE FREE HOME Vinyl: (VG+ to EX) Still in great condition. Under close inspection I can make out quite a few light marks per side - but nothing deep or remotely troublesome. The album plays really well. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. Nice clean MONO playback. No pops or ticks and very little sign of background. Very impressive warm and detailed presentation as you would expect from this early pressing. 
Cover: (F) The laminated front has surface wear but is still fairly clean. The rear is a bit grubby and discoloured. There is wear and some minor damage to the edges. Some corner wear is evident. The opening is still reasonable intact. The rear of the sleeve is signed by The Crickets, Joe Mauldin, Jerry Allison, Sunny Curtis & Buddy Holly's widow, Maria Elena Holly. THIS STATEMENT IS MADE IN GOOD FAITH. AUTHENTICITY CAN’T BE GUARANTEED. However, I see no reason why the signatures would not be genuine. I have compared the signatures to examples found on the internet and they are a very close match. I have no idea when or where the signatures were obtained or who Brian is/was.
Inner Sleeve. (VG+) Possibly original. Age discolouration and creases, but no splits or tears. Poly liner still present. 
Included is an original Telegraph Magazine article from 1 February 2000 featuring an interview with Maria Elena Holly and a print of a photo of the three Crickets.
