Description
The Buddy Holly Story is the first posthumously released compilation album by the American recording star, Buddy Holly and the Crickets. The album was released on February 28, 1959, less than one month after the singers tragic death in a plane crash on “the day the music died”, Febuary 3, 1959. The album features songs on the Brunswick ( with The Crickets) and Coral (solo) Record labels. It became a top twenty hit on album charts in the U.S., Canada and the UK. and was certified Gold by the RIAA in 1959.
