Description

Budgie – Squawk  AUTOGRAPHED by the band

Budgie formed in 1967 in Cardiff, Wales under the name Hills Contemporary Grass. Their original line-up consisted of Burke Shelley on vocals and bass, Tony Bourge on guitar and vocals, and Ray Phillips on drums. After performing several gigs in 1968, the band changed their name to Budgie the following year and recorded their first demo. The band originally formed under such names as Hills Contemporary Grass and Six Ton Budgie. Burke Shelley has said that the band's name came from the fact that he, "loved the idea of playing noisy, heavy rock, but calling ourselves after something diametrically opposed to that".

This 1971 MCA LP cat no. MKPS 2023 with the matrix numbers 7-LNMG-261-IL on side 01 and 7-LNMG-262-IL on side 02 is in excellent condition and was given to me personally by the band and signed by then on 22/12/1972 at Saint Johns hall in Peterborough. As they were at the time Tony Bourge Burke Shelley
and Ray Phillips

The cover has  some creases and a "tea stain" on the front...
The back of the cover has the autographs.

I am not a vinyl dealer I am a collector and many of my LPs were bought by myself from new.

EXCELLENT:
The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.
The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
