Original-era mono pressing of Buffalo Springfield’s self-titled debut album, featuring the early track listing with “Baby Don’t Scold Me” included. This is the historically important version issued before ATCO revised the album to add the hit single “For What It’s Worth” and remove “Baby Don’t Scold Me.” Most later pressings from 1967 onward used the revised sequence, making this earlier track configuration especially desirable to collectors.
Originally released in late 1966, Buffalo Springfield captures the band at the beginning of its brief but hugely influential run, with Stephen Stills, Neil Young, Richie Furay, Bruce Palmer, and Dewey Martin blending folk-rock, garage rock, country-rock, and early Sunset Strip psychedelia. The album was produced by the band’s managers Charles Greene and Brian Stone and recorded in Hollywood at Gold Star and Columbia studios.
Includes “Go and Say Goodbye,” “Nowadays Clancy Can’t Even Sing,” “Sit Down I Think I Love You,” “Burned,” “Flying on the Ground Is Wrong,” “Out of My Mind,” “Pay the Price,” and the collectible early-album track “Baby Don’t Scold Me.”
