Description
Takoma Records B-1001, “Mississippi Blues Vol. 1” with Bukka White, guitar and vocals; from 1964 or 1965. Liner notes by John Fahey. This is a sealed original copy in the original loose baggie-type wrap, which is intact all around. The jacket shows no wear or damage of any kind: seams are solid, corners are square, jacket back is pristine. Very hard to find in this condition! Tracks are “Aberdeen Mississippi Blues”, “Baby Please Don’t Go”, “New Orleans Streamline”, “Parchman Farm Blues”, “Poor Boy Long Way from Home”, “Remembrance of Charlie Patton” (narration), “Shake ‘Em On Down”, “I Am in the Heavenly Way”, “The Atlanta Special”, “Drunk Man Blues”, and “Army Blues”. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $14.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, and Australia; elsewhere inquire. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 per LP domestic, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, registered mail for $11.75 extra is strongly recommended. (Last year, a package to the Netherlands was lost in shipment, resulting in disappointment on both sides.) Many old records are now practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with special foam padding around all edges of the LP to prevent seam splitting and will be shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer. It is designed thick enough not to be bent in transit and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window. More than two LPs will be mailed together in a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped.
