Buzzcocks Love Bites 1978 SEALED UK IMPORT w/embossed cover. UAG 3097 MINT.
A sealed and obviously never played UK import copy of “Love Bites” Buzzcocks second studio album. The Tower Records sticker $8.99 (expensive in 1978) is directly on the cover, and loose shrink wrap is around the package. This was how most imports were handled by the Tower chain at that time. Bulk shipments were received at the Sacramento main office, then priced, sealed, and transferred to the larger volume stores.
The vinyl is presumed mint. The cover is the first edition with the embossed front and rear sides. The white cover has some yellowing after 44 years, but it is doubtful that better copies of this original release exist to purchase.
Love Bites is an important album that charts the evolution of Punk Rock to New Wave Pop. It showcases Pete Shelley as a brilliant songwriter, and the band as extremely influential.
