Description
C 1948 Group Of 7 Red Label Glass 12 inch Autodisc Transcription Records Music Radio. This is really a unique, possibly one of a kind lot of unusual records. The lot consists of seven personal transcriptions on red glass audiodisc records. These are all personal recordings from the late 1940s as far as I can tell. The subject matter is varied. Usually the owner recorded a TV program such as Ozzie and Harriet or Moby Dick. The second half of the record in many cases is a musical/Classical rendition of some type. The former owner jotted the m on the label and they should all be available in the photographs. One of the interesting things is that there is a recording of a portion of the second Joe Louis /Jersey Joe Walcott heavyweight championship fight.
Condition: I am selling these records as a collectible only. They are still recorded, but as you probably know glass base records are extremely fragile and don't age well. Almost all these records are cracked, but will still play with noise. However, some of the tracks are blocked to some extent and the records will skip on some of the portions. The records also have hazing and residue. They are contained in what appears to be the original album folder made by Audio Devices in New York. Please keep in mind that these records will need to be handled with great care and that any mishandling will likely result in their demolition. Due to the fragile nature we will pack these records in a fairly large box which accounts for more postage than expected . Please check the photos closely for complete details and condition information.
