Description
Health issues dictate that I begin to part with some of my favourite items. Up for your consideration is "Mickey's Monkey" by the C.A. Quintet, the great Minnesota band that later went head-over-heels into psychedelia. This was their first release on Falcon.
I use Goldmine grading, but so much is subjective when it comes to moving from one grade to another. Here's my disclaimer: at my age my hearing isn't what it used to be. Also, owing to the instrumentation and recording technology of the time, it is possible that that others may hear surface noise that I cannot. However, the record has no scratches on either side, but does have scuffing. Play is not affected; there are no skips. Some luster still on the vinyl. The label, as you can see in the scan, has wear on the higher areas. No writing on either side. No label tears. All in all, my eyes and ears put this one at VG+, but it could well be considered VG from another person's interpretation of the Goldmine criteria.
