DESCRIPTION
Cabaret Voltaire - “Red Mecca” Rough Trade Records rough us15 (Stereo) from 1981. Hard to find First U.S. Pressing Experimental / Electronic / Industrial / Post Punk / Rock album from Cabaret Voltaire featuring Richard H. Kirk, Stephen Mallinder and Christopher R. Watson with help from Nik Allday. In the Original Cover and includes the Original Picture and Credits Inner Sleeve. This is a First Pressing as indicated by the Runout Vinyl markings which read:
Matrix / Runout (Side A runout, Etched): ROUGH US 15A 12245(3)+ Matrix / Runout (Side B runout, Etched): ROUGH US 15B 12246(3)+
CONDITION
The Sleeve is in good shape. There is some basic shelf wear, edge creasing and corner softening/wear. There is an old price tag (probably easily removable) on the back. Very solid with no splits, stains, writing, tears, cutouts, promo marks, etc. and would rate VG. The Vinyl is in clean Glossy condition. There are some light scuffs, marks and faint hairlines - no actual scratches i.e. something you can feel with a fingernail. At least VG visually and maybe closer to VG+. Plays mostly VG+ with some spots of light groove noise and a few random soft tics. There is one mark on side 2 that causes about 10 repeated tics. None of this is serious and might be improved with a better cleaning than my Discwasher brush can give. The Labels show some light spindle trails but are otherwise Near Mint. The inner sleeve has some light wrinkling and ring impression.

TERMS AND DEFINITIONS
Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK.
Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them. I guarantee that items I sell will meet my description, nothing more or less! If you are not satisfied that a purchase meets my description, I will do what I can to make it right if you give me the chance and work with me! Please feel free to check my feedback.
