CACTUS 1ST LP RARE ORIG M- 1970 ATCO STEREO PSYCH ROCK LP ALBUM

This is a rare super clean original first stereo pressing of self titled first album by the great psych rock band, Cactus, released by Atco Records in 1970. Cactus was one of the early super groups having been formed by past members of three great bands. The members included lead singer Rusty Day, an original member of The Amboy Dukes, lead guitarist, Jim McCarty, an original member of The Yardbirds, and bassist Tim Bogert, and drummer, Carmine Appice, both original members of Vanilla Fudge. Clean copies of this hard psych classic are very difficult to find.

The LP visually is near mint condition and plays very nicely. The cover is in very good plus condition. The spine corners are sharp. The top mouth corners is reasonably sharp with very slight tip wear. The bottom mouth corner is fairly sharp but with slight ding/tip wear. The top seam is solid with just minor spot rub wear. The bottom seam is in tact but with spot wear and little more rub wear to the extent of color loss from spine to about five inches from spine. The spine is strong with light spot wear.The front and back covers are very clean with vibrant color and one or two very short slight creases near spine. There is also a gromlet inserted through the top left of the cover In grading I use Excellent instead of VG++ for those items deemed just a notch below near mint. Please understand that opened play graded copies may have been graded several weeks before listing so the LP should be cleaned again before play. LPs are cleaned manually as I no longer have machine.

The LP will be shipped within 24 hours of payment, which is expected within 3 days of auction end, in specially made LP mailer with the LP separated from the cover (for unsealed items) and well packaged to protect the item from damage during shipment. Returns are accepted as long as LP is returned in the condition received. Return of sealed items will only be permitted if returned unopened.

Shipping cost is $4 per LP. To reduce shipping cost, I will combine shipping on multiple items bid and won during the same auction cycle. Please do not pay until I have had the opportunity to manually adjust the shipping cost. I cannot hold items for multiple auction cycles as it will affect my EBAY standing in so far as it concerns shipment time. I only accept bids from US based buyers and will only ship to the address recorded for the buyer on PAYPAL, which is the only method I can accept for payment.

I play grade open items sold and do the best I can in the process to give an honest assessment of the item As is shown by my feedback I think I do a good job of satisfying most buyers. This is the original pressing that mistakenly gives writing credit for all songs to Jagger and Richards. The LP was quickly reissued when a legal challenge was made and writing credit for the song, The Prodigal Son, was subsequently given on the reissued LP to The Reverend Robert Wilkins. The LP includes many Stones classics such as Sympathy For The Devil, Street Fighting Man, No Expectations, Stray Cat Blues and Salt Of The Earth.
