CAEDMON - Caedmon (Private Pressing) - LP - 1978
Beautifully presented ORIGINAL copy of this Prog / Psych / Folk rarity, which remains one of THE most sought-after private pressings out there, both for its scarcity and the phenomenal music, exemplified by the blistering electric fuzz-guitar and haunting vocals. The band, from Edinburgh, pressed just 500 copies of this album, which were distributed amongst family and friends and sold at their last few concerts, prior to them splitting up. For more information, check-out the band's website: www.caedmonsreturn.com The LP was repressed in the late '90s but, just to emphasise, this is the ORIGINAL pressing, with the following matrix numbers:
A-side: LYN5161-1CR MAX SSR001A
B-side: LYN5162-1CR MAX SSR001B
The vinyl retains a beautiful sheen, with just a few ultra-light superficial dust hairlines and a couple of tiny but superficial marks on Track 3 of the A-side - nothing significant - see descriptions below. The cover is also in great condition, as is the lyric insert. Unfortunately, there is no 7" single with this copy. I have described this item as comprehensively as possible - both its appearance and sound quality - and have included an array of photos. A-side: There is only the very tiniest hint of any background surface noise - practically inaudible in fact - with an occasional tiny click and just a couple of slightly more prominent ones. Grade - EX++

Labels: Both labels are pristine (see scan).
Insert: There is the very tiniest hint of bumping to the lower two corners but all the edges are sharp. There is one small, light crease, but overall it is in EX condition (see scan).
Sleeve: There is a small amount of very light bumping to the edges and corners and the initials SG are written in tiny writing in the top left corner of the back cover (5mm x 4mm). There are a few light creases on the front, visible when angled to the light, plus three slightly more prominent ones on the back - nothing significant though.
