Very good++   ----- Vinyl may show some scuffs or scratches, but effect on play is minimal. Very good+     ----- Vinyl shows several scratches that are audible but not overwhelming. Very good       ----- Vinyl has scratches that produce constant background noise, or repeated noise when the needle crosses them. Good             ----- Background noise from scuffs and scratches is pronounced. Fair                ----- Vinyl has deep scratches in which the needle gets stuck.
