Description

CAMILLA WICKS THOMAS ‘In Recital’ 3-sided double LP.

Self-released, no label name, GRS 3481. 1973. Ex/NM.

 

An extremely rare classical record here- only two have been offered on ebay in the last 7 years. It is a private- press double LP with 3 sides of music featuring CWT (violin) accompanied by Horace Martinez (piano) from an unedited live performance dated Nov 4th 1973. (Note: this is the same 'Camilla Wicks' with the famous Sibelius record.)

 

Pieces by Beethoven, Strauss, De Sarasate, Wieniawski, Scarlatescu, Nin, Paradis.

 

Labels read ‘not for commercial sale’ and cover adds ‘proceeds to benefit Wenatchee Valley Orchestra’. Obviously a very small pressing indeed.

 

Plain gatefold cover with gold sticker on front. This copy is signed and dedicated by CWT on the inside gate.

 

Ex cover has light age spots/ marks (see photo) but otherwise fine.

 

Vinyl pretty much MINT. Both discs look unplayed. No spindle marks.

 

It may be several years before another of these pops up, so bid accordingly…

 

Registered postage will be $8 in US, $30 Int’l; cheaper to Canada.
