Up for bid is a very rare original German promotional pressing from art rock sages Can.  The album was released in 1972 and is considered to be one of their best and a certifiable classic.  Can were a German experimental rock group who mixed very diverse styles of music--rock, jazz, raggae, free improv.--into a style that was uniquely their own.  Though the group garnered little attention in the United States during their years of operation, they had a substantial following in Europe.  Many well-established and current alt musicians cite Can as an influence.  They were far ahead of their time, and their music sounds as fresh and compelling today as it did thirty years ago. 

Visual grade:  VG+//VG+

The vinyl on this piece is very clean and in excellent shape.  Visual examination shows little in the way of surface wear with no evidence of scratches of marring.  Almost no wear on spindle hole, indicating that this copy was played rarely.  It is in surprisingly good shape for its vintage.

Cover is a shiny laminate finish showing little to no ring wear.  Corner wear is minor, though there are three small creases toward the bottom seam.  There are no seam splits or noticable seam wear.  Back spine is flawless.  There is a small, rectangular "production prom" sticker in upper left corner.  Cover has UA symbol in lower right corner as part of printed cover, and in lower left is a knob like symbol which is present on many (but not all) imports. 

Back cover is virtually flawless with little in the way of wear.  There is a small, round "xo." white bulls-eye sticker near the lower left corner. 

Inner paper sleeve is heavy stock and hand printed.  It shows only minor yellowing and dulling from age, and is completely free of seam splits.

All in all, this is a very beautiful and well-preserved piece.
