Description

Remember Candy from the Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello Beach Party movies?  She didn't say much, buy boy did she have the moves!  She'd sashay her fringed-clad hips and the surfers would go flying off of their boards!  Candy had a stellar entertainment career throughout the 1960s, playing all over the southwest U.S., back in New York at the 1965 World's Fair, and military bases over in Europe and Africa.

Candy was featured in 4 of the 'beach' movies, put out by American International Pictures.  In 1962, she released "The Candy Johnson Show", a live album of her nightclub act.  Then came the 'Bikini Beach' LP, and six 45rpm singles. 

This extremely rare record features songs from Bikini Beach, that she and The Exciters Band recorded.  Some very fun tunes, for sure.  The most exciting part is that the record, though opened, is still in its original plastic wrap, which did a great job protecting the record sleeve.  The corners are a bit bumped, and there are two tiny crease lines on the border next to the "B" in Bikini, but the front and back covers are pristine, and the spine and edges have no splits or wear marks.  The vinyl itself has some dust, but looks like it's never been played, and the 'side 1' and 'side 2' labels look new. The paper sleeve inside is original and has some splits at the edges.  The plastic wrapper is tired-looking, but it did its job, keeping the great graphics colorful, crisp and clear.
