RARE ORIGINAL PSYCHEDELIC FUNK SOUL LP BY 'CANE AND ABLE - RELEASED 1972... INCLUDES A DOPE FUNK VERSION OF 'KOOL & THE GANG'S - WHOS GONNA TAKE THE WEIGHT', GIRL YOU MOVE ME' PLUS MUCH MORE... ORIGINAL DUTCH PRESSING ON THE AKT/EPIC LABEL FROM 1972. THE RECORD AND THE LAMINATED SLEEVE ARE IN NEAR MINT CONDITION.
This is one of the better Afro-psych lp's I've heard. Compares favorably to early Mandrill and Funkadelic, and the horns recall James Brown's band at their funkiest. Some great fuzz and wah-wah to be heard here. Combines two of my favorite styles: Horn rock and heavy psych funk (though it could be argued that the latter almost always has the former).
