COMMENTS:.....These tracks are the foundation of one of the most successful combos in jazz history - a group that had a measure of popular success to go with its substantial artistic pedigree. A new and funkier Cannonball Adderley Quintet would follow - but this edition boasts all of the virtues, all the sophisticated swing, of the classic hard-bop unit.
