Cannons "We Must Be Strong!" Demo tape (Japan / Self-released / 1992) (pre-Aggro Knuckle & Strong Style)
Very rare demo tape by one of the greatest SSS style oi!/skinhead bands ever came out of Japan. It's the original tape I've owened since it first came out in 1992. I no longer collect the Japanese oi stuff and have already sold or traded a bunch of tapes and records last year, except just a few including this and the Scanners "Born To Fight" demo that I'm currently selling.
Cannons; They were one of those few bands out of the Japanese skinhead scene back in the days that were a bit extreme and radical in terms of political and nationalistic views. (like Sledgehammer, Ikazuchi, Bull The Buffaloes, or some J.M. related bands such as Rising Sun, Warmachine, or Cracker Jacks in their later days.) Rumor has it that whatever the right-wing craziness those guys were involved with got them in some serious trouble and marked by authority that they ended up being unable to play any live shows under the name of Cannons. That's the story behind their breakup, or actually more like just the name change to Aggro Knuckle around 1993, as the band continued playing as Aggro Knuckle for some time. Aggro Knuckle broke up or stopped playing at some point. All four members of Cannons/Aggro Knuckle later got back together as Strong Style. While the original Aggro Knuckle was active in the '90s, they appeared on the "Fight Back For The Rising Sun" and "Ookami no utage" comp's. The great song "Rising Sun" a.k.a. "Rising Sun Flag" or "Hinomaru" (???) has been played by all three.
Great condition. Plays perfectly. The sleeve has only very minor wear. The pro-printed sleeve is on a thick, semi-gloss/slick cardstock paper. The orig plastic case has lots of small scratches and scuffs. The tape and sleeve are very well taken care of since I bought this new in 1992! 3 tracks: Fight And Win!, Working Army, and Victory. Samurai Spirit Skinhead Japanese Oi! at its best.
