Description

"GANGWAY FOR THE BUCCANEERS!  Yes, folks, it's CAPTAIN STUBBY AND THE BUCCANEERS, those rollicking rascals of rhythm saying 'SHIP AHOY' to y'all with fifteen minutes of the songs you know and love, sung by Artie, Sunny, Tiny, Jerry and yours truly CAPTAIN STUBBY!"

And here's an original RADIO PROGRAM TRANSCRIPTION DISC containing the two complete 15-minute episodes of the syndicated western music series: "CAPTAIN STUBBY AND THE BUCCANEERS", starring the country-comedy band that gained popularity on the WLS NATIONAL BARN DANCE broadcasts after World War Two.   The theme song was "Barnacle Bill".   Sort of a combination of Spike Jones and the Sons of the Pioneers, the show is quite enjoyable.

The disc contains two episodes:

Episode #6 includes "Keep Your Sunny Side Up", "Apple Blossom Time", "Wally Polly Anna", "I Still Do", and "Alexander's Ragtime Band".

Episode #12 includes "Echoes from the Hills", "My Buddy", "Little Brown Jug", "Smilin' Through", and "Meet Me Tonight in the Cow Shed".

This vintage 16" RADIO TRANSCRIPTION DISC is pressed on red vinyl, with the original Label and still in the original protective sleeve.  The show was produced sometime between 1946 and 1950.

The disc is clean and uncracked.  The recording is in great condition.  Unlike most syndication discs, this shows very little use.  Complete openings and closings.

See scans of the labels for both sides of the disc.  There are no skips and no scratches.

Will ship in sturdy packing...excessive shipping costs will be rebated via paypal for multiple purchases.
