Description

This is an ORIGINAL 1970 BIZARRE / REPRISE RECORDS U.S. BLUE LABEL PRESSING of the 1969 2 LP SET titled 'Trout Mask Replica' from Captain Beefheart And his Magic Band.  It is Bizarre / Reprise Records U.S. catalog number 2MS 2027 (with original Straight Record catalog number STS 1053 shown on the album cover), gatefold cover, blue Bizarre / Reprise Records labels.  This album was produced by Frank Zappa.

Reissue on 'Bizarre' label in 'Straight' gatefold sleeve.
White "StRaIGHt" logo on cover with cat# STS 1053.
Blue Bizarre labels with catalog 2MS 2027.
Unlike Straight, the Bizarre label of Zappa/Cohen did not have a cat# system and used that of Reprise.
Sequential discs, as label matrices.
"T" in runouts denotes a Columbia Records Terre Haute pressing.

Track A6: "Moonlight On Vermont" on sleeve, "Moonlight In Vermont" on label.
A4 'Flesh Horn' is a Vliet affectation for hands cupped to mouth.
